Lynne Sayer BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy, Certified APPI Pilates Instructor
Lynne qualified as physiotherapist from the university of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg South Africa in 2004. After a year working in a community hospital, Lynne relocated to the UK and began working in the private sector. Since then Lynne has gained extensive, musculoskeletal and orthopaedic experience working in large private orthopaedic hospitals and smaller private physio and sports injury clinics.
After being introduced to Pilates by a colleague, Lynne began her Pilates training with the APPI and has been teaching one-to-one and group Pilates since 2008. In 2018, Lynne completed her Reformer training and now also teaches 1:1 Pilates on the reformer.
Lynne comes from a dancing background and has always enjoyed attending the gym for her own physical health. This discipline of exercise is something Lynne incorporates into her treatment with all her patients, using movement as a tool to help them reach their functional goals whether that be to get back to being able to do the weekly food shop pain free or achieve a PB doing their next marathon.
Alongside exercise and movement, Lynne has a hands on approach to her physiotherapy treatment and will also utilise acupuncture to help relieve patients pain where appropriate.
Lynne has also done training in road bike fitting. Working with her patients to ensure they are set up correctly on their bike to best use their power muscles and avoid overuse injuries.
Lynne enjoys treating all areas of the body but is particularly passionate about shoulders and post op orthopaedic patients.

I qualified from Brunel University in 2001 with a BSc in physiotherapy. After completing core rotations at Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, I went on to specialise in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal conditions at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital with the NHS before moving to work privately in 2009 at Parkside Hospital Wimbledon. I worked there for several years as the Physiotherapy Deputy Manager balancing managerial tasks alongside my busy clinical caseload. I gained extensive experience in the management of complex MSK conditions, rheumatological disorders and post operative orthopaedic rehabilitation. I completed my MSc in Sports and Exercise Rehabilitation in 2014 at the University of Hertfordshire. Since 2024 I have worked part time at Physioplus providing high quality and individualised care to patients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal complaints alongside an NHS role as a First Contact Practitioner within a local GP practice. I am hugely committed to my patients and am passionate about helping those in my care to get back to doing what they love.
